Formerly the village blacksmith's forge, cottage and stables, The Old Forge dates back to 1701, now tastefully converted to provide comfortable and spacious accommodation whilst retaining its original character. The accent is very much on creating a relaxing, homely atmosphere. Ample, off-street parking is available in the court-yard.

We are very easy to find after a long journey, just 1 mile East of Thornton-le-Dale on the A170 road to Scarborough. This creates an ideal base for visits to a wide range of local attractions on the coast, moors and forests. Ramblers, bird watchers and mountain bikers are particularly well catered for with direct access to Dalby Forest. Mountain bikes are available for hire and there are drying facilities for equipment and clothes.
